Leon Tim Draisait is a German ice hockey professional forward and an alternative captain of the Edmonton Oilers National Hockey League ( NHL). Draisaitl has grown up to be second overall in 2012 in the CHL Import Draft of the Prince Albert Raiders to play hockey in Germany.

Edmonton Oilers finished in the NHL Entry Draft for 2014 in third overall, after two seasons with the Raiders. Draisaitl received the Art Ross Trophy in 2020 as the first German-born player to win the NHL.

In 2014, he was disqualified from a round robin game against the USA after a hit from behind, which was followed by a one-month suspension. For the 2014 IIHF World Championship, Draisaitl was named the top German team roster.

For the 2018 II HF World Championship, he also chose to compete for Germany. In the 2012–13 WHL season, Draisaitl ‘s major junior career started with the Prince Albert raiders of WHL.

Draisaitl became the second youngest Oiler in franchising history to score a hat trick in the playoffs of the Stanley Cup and the fifth player in the Oilers history in the playoff game on May 7, 2017 in Game 6 of the Edmonton 2017 Stanley Cup Playoff series against Anaheim Ducks.

On 16 August 2017 Draisaitl signed an average annual limit of $8.5 million for an eight years contract extension of $68 million with the Oilers.

On April 6th , 2019, Draisaitl became Oiler 6th (the first to score at least 50 goals in the season since Craig Simpson in 1987-88).
